Monday, Dec 1st, we spent Thanksgiving on a side trip and hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving as we did, the weather was fantastic. Made it to Gila Bend this morning and started off from the Dairy Queen with a large chocolate shake for my ride today. Traveled from Gila Bend north to the Phoenix area, ended up just outside of Buckeye in an RV Park in the west Phoenix area.

This is Tuesday, Dec. 2nd leaving the Buckeye area and traveled into the Phoenix area were we stopped to visit some people at Award Metals where I worked before. Traveling hwy 60 northwest where we will spend the night in Surprise, Az.

This is Wednesday, Dec. 3rd leaving Surprise and still traveling hwy 60 to the town of Wickenburg and took hwy 93 north where we stopped just about 17-18 miles northwest of Wickenburg where hwy 93 and 71 cross and spent the night there on the side of the road.

This is Thursday, Dec. 4th, we continued on hwy 93 going north going through the hills of Arizona, taking a picture of a Saguaro,  the balanced rock and surrounding area. Ending up in the town of Wickiup, Az. where we spent the night.

This is Friday, Dec. 5th, still traveling hwy 93 north, came across an historical marker. Big Sandy Valley, first exploration probably by early Spanish explorers, Espejon, 1582 and Farfan in 1589. Was explored later by Lp. Amiel W. Whipple in 1854. Important agriculture mining, milling and smelting area in our early days. The McCrackin Mine discovered by Jackson McCrackin and H.A. Chloride, and Jack Owen in 1874. The single mine was 12 miles south, stamped mills were at Greenwood 8 miles south and Virginia City 9 miles southwest. From hwy 93 north I am now traveling Interstate 40 going west. Going through Kingman and taking 93 out of Kingman and turned onto hwy 68 going to Laughlin. Passing through the Golden Valley area some serious cowboys with a trail of horses had to throw a Coors Light Beer at me. I know they are not the real cowboys, because I have been up and around the country and they really care about their work. This has got to be from a drugstore but he has horses, I can't believe this. What a great America for some of them.

This is Saturday, Dec. 6th, spent the night at the Riverside R.V. Park in Laughlin, Nv. This morning going up the hill from Laughlin to Las Vegas. At the top of the hill I headed north on hwy 95, ended up spending the night at Searchlight, Nv. at a truck stop.

This is Sunday, Dec 7th, heading north on hwy 95, made it to hwy 95 and hwy 93 just outside of Henderson, where we stopped and met with some friends where I worked at Fortunet for the evening.

This is Monday, Dec. 8th we have left the Henderson area to Las Vegas. Have arrived home and their were some people from our park here to greet us and welcome us back home. We have traveled the total outskirts of the United States and accumulated 12,700 miles on a bicycle, and hit all four corners of the United States. It has been a fantastic trip to see this wonderful country we have and meet the strong and wonderful people that have made up this country. This has been a trip that definitely been worthwhile, and I highly recommend people to go out and explore our country and meet your neighbors.
